This concert brings together two of Tchaikovsky's masterpieces, each a portrait of love, anguish, and impassioned beauty. The first half features the Piano Concerto No. 1, beloved for its stormy opening and explosive energy; the second half presents Symphony No. 6 'Pathétique,' widely regarded as Tchaikovsky's most intimate confession and final masterpiece. The United Korean Orchestra (U.K.O.), conductor Unai Urrecho Zubillaga, and pianist Peter Ovtcharov come together to bring dramatic contrast and inner depth to a single stage.
Conductor · Unai Urrecho Zubillaga A conductor recognized for his artistic dedication and sincerity across opera and orchestral stages. He began his career as an orchestral player, performing with renowned ensembles worldwide, before turning to conducting. He now serves as a conducting professor at a Korean university and remains active across Korea and Europe. Piano · Peter Ovtcharov A Russian-born pianist trained at a prestigious music academy that has produced many world-class musicians. He has performed as a soloist and orchestral collaborator at major concert halls throughout Europe and Asia, and has placed in international competitions. Performed by · United Korean Orchestra (U.K.O.) Founded in 2006 to bring hope through music to children facing pediatric cancer, heart disease, and other intractable illnesses. The orchestra has expanded its activities through invitational performances and collaborations at home and abroad, and donates a portion of its performance proceeds to charitable causes.
